One percentage per sale, payment processing included, capped at €150 per transaction. No subscription, no listing fee, no minimum. If a link is never bought, it never costs you anything.
Deducted from the payment itself, at the moment your client pays. What remains is routed straight to your bank through Stripe — you never receive a bill from RELEASE.

Founding creators
The first 50 creators to sell on RELEASE keep 7% for life. The rate is granted on your first completed sale — and it applies to that sale too. Not for a year, not until we change our minds: it stays on the account.
What you actually receive
On a sale in euros, before any VAT you charge your client.
Above €1,500, the fee stops growing — the €150 cap applies and every additional euro is yours.
Included
What the percentage covers.
There is no add-on, no premium tier and no feature held back for a higher plan. Everything RELEASE does, every account gets.
Card processing
Your client's card fees are already inside the percentage — they are not billed to you separately, and they never appear as a second deduction.
Storage and delivery
Files up to 20 GB each, stored and served at original quality. Large deliveries cost us more than small ones; the price you see does not change because of it.
Protected previews
Every file gets a watermarked preview so your client can see the finished work before paying, while the original stays locked.
Invoices and VAT
A numbered invoice is generated on every payment, with your billing details and the VAT treatment you configured — ready for your client's accounting.
Payouts to your bank
Stripe Connect onboarding, identity verification and bank transfers, in 46 countries.
The Release Ledger
Every state transition recorded — sent, viewed, paid, unlocked, downloaded — with SHA-256 checksums of what was delivered.
The small print, in full.
When is the fee taken?
At the moment your client pays. It is deducted from that single transaction and the rest is routed to your Stripe account — there is never an invoice from RELEASE to settle later.
Is the cap per transaction or per month?
Per transaction. Each sale is capped on its own, so a large deal is never penalised for being large.
What if a link is never bought?
Then nothing is charged. Creating links, uploading files, generating previews, customising your page — none of it costs anything. RELEASE only earns when you do.
Does the rate change once I've started?
Not for a sale already made: the rate applied is frozen onto that transaction, exactly like its VAT treatment and its licence terms. And a founding rate is for life — it does not expire and it is not revisited.
What about VAT?
VAT is between you and your client, and is handled on the invoice according to the status you set. The RELEASE fee is a separate matter, calculated on the total your client pays.
